Lutheran Campus Ministry Baltimore Lutheran Campus Ministry serves Morgan State University, Towson University, and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. This site includes schedules for worship and fellowship, projects, scholarship information, and more.

 

The Baltimore Urban Regional Partnership The Baltimore Urban Regional Partnership is a collaboration of Baltimore's 35 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregations. Individually and collectively, they have a passion for a passion for mission and a heart for urban ministry.

 

Café--an online magazine from Women of the ELCA Café is an award-winning online magazine from Women of the ELCA that features timely articles about faith and life, Scripture reflections, and an opportunity for sharing your thoughts with others. The e-zine is addressed primarily to women ages 18 to 35, but the articles in Café will inform and inspire people of all ages.

Delaware-Maryland Synod Our Delaware-Maryland Synod is based here in Baltimore. Synods are an expression of this church, just as are congregations and the churchwide organization. They coordinate the work of congregations within their territories. Synods plan for the ELCA's mission (which is one dimension of God's larger mission) in their area.

 

ELCA World Hunger ELCA World Hunger improves the lives of people in need in the United States and around the world by providing immediate relief for people affected by chronic hunger and poverty; assisting whole communities through long-term, sustainable development to help alleviate chronic hunger and poverty; advocating for justice by changing laws and systems; and educating members of the ELCA in awareness of issues relating to hunger, poverty and justice.

 

Gather Gather, the magazine of Women of the ELCA, is an award-winning publication full of Bible studies, feature stories, and ideas. Although the main audience is women, men will also enjoy reading the articles it contains.

 

Journal of Lutheran Ethics Journal of Lutheran Ethics is an online publication dedicated to promoting awareness of, study of, and conversation about Christian ethics in the Lutheran tradition. JLE offers scholarship, resources, and discussion.

 

 

KenCrest KenCrest, founded in 1905 by a Lutheran deaconess, is a non-profit Lutheran social ministry organization. KenCrest's mission is to provide services to individuals who have or are at risk of having mental retardation or developmental disabilities in a manner that respects individual rights, enhances potential, and enables people to have control over their own lives. KenCrest is about a two hour drive from St. Mark's Church, in Plymouth Meeting, Penna.

 

The Little Lutheran The Little Lutheran is a magazine designed especially for toddlers age 6 and under. It's designed to help them learn about God’s love for them and the world in which they live.

The Lutheran Magazine The Lutheran is the denominational magazine of the ELCA. This award-winning monthly contains both news and stories of spiritual interest. It's a great way to keep up with what's happening beyond our congregation.

 

Lutheran Campus Ministry UMCP Lutheran Campus Ministry--University of Maryland, College Park led by Chaplain Elizabeth Platz, is a growing and energetic community of college students dedicated to worship, supporting and having fun with each other, exploring faith, and serving the community.

 

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service is a cooperative agency of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, and the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. With initiative and stewardship, LIRS seeks creative solutions for uprooted people regardless of race, ethnicity or religious beliefs.

 

Lutheran Men in Mission Lutheran Men in Mission is the churchwide men's ministry organization of the ELCA. Their home page features links to the Master Builds program, LMM gatherings, and program resources for men's ministries.

 

Lutheran Services in America Lutheran Services in America, with its national headquarters in Baltimore, is an alliance of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod and their social ministry organizations. It provides a national network of social service and long-term care programs serving all people, not just Lutherans. The site offers a searchable index of social ministry organizations, information on public policy and on the government's faith-based initiative, a menu of publications and news releases, and lots of other items of interest.

 

Lutheran World Relief Lutheran World Relief is an international relief agency headquartered in Baltimore. Their site contains reports of emergency relief efforts in troubled areas around the world, as well as information about how congregations and individuals can be involved in everything from quilts to the Coffee Project.

 

Lutheran Youth Organization Lutheran Youth Organization offers young people and their congregational leaders a chance to check out upcoming churchwide youth gatherings, read the LYO newsletter, and learn more about the workings of the youths' many programs and boards.

 

Lutherans Concerned / North America Lutherans Concerned works for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church and congregations. The goal of this nationwide organization is to reach out and teach that Christ's message, the Gospel, is for everyone equally.

 

 

Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp and Conference Center Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp and Conference Center:
Mar-Lu-Ridge offers much more than just a wide range of summer camping programs for kids. It is a year-round conference and retreat site in the Catoctin Mountains south of Frederick. Their site contains camp schedules, conference/retreat information, and a camper/staff alumni section.

 

National Lutheran Home National Lutheran Home, a residential program for seniors, is located in Rockville, Md. Their website offers a brief history as well as information about their independent living and nursing care programs.

 

Order of St Stephen Deacon The Order of Saint Stephen, Deacon traces its roots back to 1971. Diaconal ministry is an ordered ministry of teaching and shepherding the life of the gospel among the baptized.

 

 

Reconciling in Christ Reconciling in Christ congregations welcome of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons. RIC is a program of Lutherans Concerned; St. Mark's has been on the roster since 1985!

 

Women of the ELCA Women of the ELCA is a unit of the churchwide organization with a wide array of projects and programs. Their site contains graphics, Bible studies, bulletin inserts, information about events, and lots of other information of interest to more than just the women of the church.
